Binions is a classic!

The poker room at Binions is very nice. I can tell it was recently redone. The poker tables are in great shape and there seems to be plenty of room. It's also isolated from the casino floor so the smoke is not an issue which is important to me. The pictures all around you of poker history add to the appeal of the room.

I played 1/2 no limit, 2/4 limit and 3/6 limit. The limit tables play very tight. I didn't expect that. It was easy to win pots, but hard to win big pots. The no limit table was about average. Some regulars who are there to take tourists money and some tourists there giving away money. If you are patient and don't let the regulars bully you, you will do well.

I loved the dealers at Binions. They were very friendly and very knowledgeable. They had a few incidences with players and handled them very well.

The waitresses are mostly old and worn down it seems. Takes a long time to get an average drink.

The people running this poker room were extremely friendly and very helpful. They always made sure they got us a seat and were taken care of. The only thing I would like them to change is to ask the players for their players card when they sit down so you can take advantage of your comps. They were very good about backlogging your hours played though if you remembered before you left.

The comps here are great. You get $2 an hour for playing. You should never have to pay for a meal at Binions if you use your players card correctly!
