Place is Bunk

The room itself sucks, it's low ceilings and dark. Terrible place for a long session of poker. The chips suck too. They are like those metal chips you get when you're 16 and think they're good until you use real casino chips. The felt is pathetic and the Cards don't slide because it's not speed cloth. If you are playing 2/5 on a Fri/Sat night either get there before 5PM or go somewhere else. On June 24th (Friday) at 7:00PM I added my name to the 2/5 list when I left my home. I was 6th on the list. I took my sweet time and got there about 45 mins later and I was 3rd on the list with 2 call-ins ahead of me that hadn't checked in, so I was essentially 1st on the list. I got chips and sat down and waited to be called. It was now 8:00PM. I waited for 45 mins and no movement. I checked out PokerAtlas and saw that Boston Billiards had two 5/10 tables running and that's the game I prefer. Knowing Billiards is about 30 mins away from there I had to made a decision, sit and wait or drive 30 mins and get immediately seated. The choice was easy, I cashed my chips in and drove to Billiards and immediately sat down. I left my name on the 2/5 at Chasers to see when I would get called. It was now 9:30 as I sat down at Billiards and I was 1st on the list (at Chasers) with two call ins. 10:07 PM, still first on the list. 10:35 PM, I finally get the text alert that my 2/5 seat was ready at Chasers. So, for those keeping track, 3 hours 35 mins to get called for 2/5. I will never go back unless they actually move to the old KMart. Having the license in Salem is a freaking gift. They could have a stranglehold on the poker market in the surrounding area if they had the right space and right management. Right now they are lacking in both departments. Kind of sad to squander such an opportunity.
