Initially, they only had 12 tables and went from Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm. Now they have 15 and run Sunday through Thursday from 10 am to 2 am. Small improvement, but much better for the working folks that get off at 5 pm.
Once they get about 30+ tables, open their hours to include Friday and Saturday, expand the high hand hours, and finally start running tournaments, I'll change this review to a 4 out of 5.
The last 1 point is kept because the rake is insane at $10.
Positives that make Encore competitive, drink service is A+, the venue is super clean and aesthetically pleasing, and the dealers are all generally friendly. I have high hopes for Encore Boston and can't wait to see them make these few changes.
With the developments across the street coming in the next few years, I've heard talks that a poker room may open up to offer players other options. The mass gaming commission is aware of the 3 hours-long waits, which could lead to changing things to accommodate. If you live in the area, I suggest messaging them as well and making our voices heard.
