Luxor Review

Everything seemed in good order. The room was clean and the tables seemed to be fine. There is a lounge/bar area close to the poker room that hosts some AWFUL cover bands, but that's really nitpicking.

I played 2/4, enough said. People staying with bottom pair, runner runner draws, and small pocket pairs when the board is all overs...normal 2/4 stuff.

Generally very good...it was one dealer's first night and she made a mistake when reading hands at showdown, but only once and it was easily corrected. I chalked it up to first night jitters.

I'm usually only drinking water when playing, but the ladies seemed to be bringing the drinks in a timely fashion. If the room is full you can expect to wait longer, of course.

The management at the Luxor seem to be pretty good. Harvey is always very player friendly, as is Ashok. Richard can come off as an @#$%, but I think he just has a lower tolerance for @#$% than the others.

They have high hand jackpots, freerolls for 15+ hours played per week. They were also running some promotion where the top 5 high hands between 5 AM and 9 AM payed out cash, but you do have to play from 5-9...in the morning. Not really my cup of tea.
